Editorial Policy

The main goal of the journal "Vestnik SGUGiT" is to expand the scientific communication space for the discussion and expert evaluation of proposed scientific ideas, promote the development of fundamental and applied scientific research, and highlight specific results of research and innovation activities of Russian and international scientists, as well as the technological aspects of their practical implementation.

The journal's editorial policy promotes the publication of innovative research results by Russian and international authors on a wide range of issues in the Earth sciences, physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences. It is based on the following priorities:

  • ensuring a high scientific level of work and publications by master's, doctoral, and postgraduate students;
  • providing opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and experience between scientists;
  • introducing readers to innovative domestic and international scientific developments;
  • informing the scientific audience about the most notable achievements in the professional community;
  • ensuring the content of articles corresponds to the stated scientific areas of the publication;
  • high level of peer review;
  • geographic diversity of editorial board members and reviewers; Geographical diversity of authors.

The editorial board is guided by the principles of scientific integrity, objectivity, professionalism, informational support for the most significant scientific research, and adherence to publication ethics.

To be accepted for publication, a manuscript must make a significant contribution to understanding the research topic and influence existing knowledge in the relevant subject area. The manuscript must also meet the journal's requirements, as set forth in the requirements for articles.

The editorial board is responsible for the content of published materials to readers, authors, reviewers, and the broader scientific community.

The editor-in-chief is responsible for the decision to accept an article for publication, guided by the recommendations of reviewers, the opinion of the editor of the relevant scientific section of the journal, and members of the editorial board.

Preliminary work on preparing an article for publication consideration is carried out jointly with the editorial board and the editor of the scientific section.

The editorial board is responsible for ensuring that the article under consideration complies with current requirements and standards for scientific publishing and for coordinating communication with the author.

The scientific editor is responsible for the initial review of the article's content, its review, and its submission to the editor-in-chief and the editorial board.

The editors are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the review process.

The editors require authors and other participants in the journal's publication process to adhere to the ethical principles of scientific publications.

The editors reserve the right to withdraw an article from consideration and publication at any stage if they discover that the author is not in compliance with ethical standards (plagiarism, publication of the exact same article in another publication, or inaccurate information).

In accordance with Article 6 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ of July 27, 2006, "On Personal Data," from the moment of the conclusion of the contractual agreement (public offer) granting the right to use the work in the scientific journal "Vestnik SGUGiT," the author consents to the processing of the following personal data: last name, first name, patronymic; email addresses; contact phone numbers; and information about their place of employment.

Author information (last name, first name, patronymic, name of affiliated organization, organization address, email address for reader contact) provided by the journal for publication is made publicly available to an unspecified group of people. Authors provide written consent to this by submitting their article to the editors. Publication of this information is carried out in the authors' interests to ensure a complete and accurate accounting of publications and their citation by relevant bibliographic organizations and to facilitate author contact with the scientific community.

Personal information provided by authors to the journal in addition to the information listed above, including additional email addresses and phone numbers, will be used solely for editorial staff to contact the authors during the preparation of the article for publication. The editorial board undertakes not to disclose this personal information to third parties who may use it for other purposes.

All information published in the print version of the journal, as well as posted in the online version of the journal and on the journal's official website, is distributed under the terms of the open Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows the author to read, download, copy, distribute, print, and link to the full text of the articles without any restrictions.

Publication in the journal is free for authors. The editors do not charge authors for the preparation, posting, or printing of materials. Articles are available free of charge to all readers on the journal's website immediately after publication.
