            <abstract xml:lang="ru">В статье приведен обзор нового научного направления, посвященного оптике диэлектрических мезоразмерных частиц для оптического, сверхвысокочастотного диапазонов и акустики. Материалы с относительно небольшими показателями преломления &#40;n &lt; 2&#41;, такие как стекло, кварц, полимеры, некоторые виды керамики и т. д., являются основными материалами для большинства оптических компонентов &#40;линз, оптических волокон и т. д.&#41;. В этом обзоре мы представляем некоторые явления и возможные области применения, возникающие в результате от взаимодействия света с частицами с показателем преломления менее 2. Мы также обсудим некоторые другие геометрии частиц &#40;сфероидальные, кубические и т. д.&#41; и различные конфигурации частиц &#40;изолированные или взаимодействующие&#41; и проведем обзор возможных применений таких материалов в связи с улучшением поля зрения, наноскопией с высоким разрешением. Рассмотрены основные области применения таких частиц, включая применение новых фокусирующих устройств – диэлектрических и звукопроводящих частиц, формирующих «фотонные струи» и «фотонные крючки».</abstract>
